Cycling and Walking
There are many lovely walks around Scarborough and we have street maps available for all our guests. We can give advice on routes and also tell you of nice cafes and pubs which you will pass.
Cleveland Way (W) - the Cleveland Way runs right by Phoenix Court as it wends its way from Helmsley to Filey. Obviously you can join it here on foot, but there are also buses to take you to other points to start a walk and we can give you information on these.
Cycling - it is possible to hire cycles from Trailways, at Hawsker station, which is alongside the Whitby / Scarborough coastal railtrail cycle route. Alternatively if you are in the Dalby Forest you can hire cycles from the Purple Mountain Bike Centre and cycle along the forest trails.
